The Vinyl is IN, The Orders are OUT

In my opinion the LP sounds better than the CD.  Of course the CD sounds great.  But something happens when you set the disc on the turntable, kick back in your brown, woven recliner and open the gatefold as the music starts to play.  You’re enveloped in warm bottom-end and transients that seem to spin off to the stratosphere.  Every word is packed with extra meaning.  I myself was transported to my friend, Mike Sonkowsky’s basement, during 10th grade.  The Twilight Hours LP sat in the stack right there next to CAN and The Soft Machine and a stack of CREEM’s and Trouser Press mags.  Time travel is what I’m talking about!  It’s pretty swell.  And I’m not just saying this to get rid of what seems like an impossibly huge pile of records, either (545 lbs of music, to be exact).

So, choose the format that’s right for you.  Prefer one that you can listen to.

I was in a “second hand” store yesterday dropping off a futon and found myself flipping through a pile of records thinking about Stereo Night on the way. Found a classic Dave Brubeck Quartet, but it was too scratched. Then I found this monster Zenith Console Stereo with phonograph, push buttons, and a lift open top, very similar to the one my parents had and listened to Louis Armstrong and Nat King Cole records on. I listened to my first records on that console laying on the shag carpet. Yes, even Machine Head. This one was 20 bucks. My wife gave it a “fugly’ remark. I might go back before the LP arrives.

John, thanks for putting such a personal interest in getting this out, and appealing to us fans directly. This seems so much more than a product sold/purchased. And yes, it will be fun to make my friends look on stupidly, always is. Be watchin the mail again tomm.

Got the album today.  I’m very excited to see the complete package as intended by you guys!

I’m glad that vinyl did *not* die out as many have predicted over the years.  Vinyl has something that no other format can offer.  Many proclaim the sound is simply superior to other formats. For me it’s simply the large size; something you can get your mitts around like a book.  Thank you for going the distance on this one.

On a side note: I recommend putting something flat and sturdy in w/the bubble wrap to keep the album from bending; mine got a little roughed up.
